Department of Orthopaedics at Heidelberg University Hospital

Since its inception in 1919, the Department of Technical Orthopaedics at the Center for Orthopaedics, Traumatology, and Spinal Cord Injuries has offered holistic and comprehensive care in the production of technical orthopaedic devices, such as arm and leg prosthetics. More than 5000 patients from all over the world are supplied with orthopaedic devices here annually. This makes the Department of Technical Orthopaedics Heidelberg the largest technical orthopaedic department at a University Hospital in Germany.
